Mt. Hood Snow Cat Rental

A $25 deposit is required to reserve the snow cat. The balance is due to the driver at the scheduled starting time. Reservations are made on the hour. The ride to the top of the Palmer Chair Lift takes 30 minutes. They say there is room for 8-10 people depending on the amount of gear you have. In 2004 we were able to fit 11 climbers. They have bench seats on each side of the rig. Packs get stacked in the middle. The deposit is refundable if we cancel at least 24 hours ahead of time (a call on Thursday afternoon would be sufficient). If we use the snow cat, our itinerary will not change other than we get two hours more sleep if we take the 3 a.m. slot.
